Yo! There is never a dull moment when hanging with The Company Man down at PNC Radio in Brooklyn. Jameson is ALWAYS flowing…the guests are ALWAYS interesting and fun…and the music is NEVER wack! So, I took myself on down there on a Wednesday as opposed to my usual Thursday and who do I bump into on the way in…@ShinobiNinja! Love those guys. Always energetic and happy to see you! Once upstairs I got to meet Chris Farrone author of ’99 nights with the 99 Percent’. Great guy! We have matching tattoos…not really…but kinda. LOL

SouthPaw had many ‘Last’ nights before it permanently closed its doors. On this night a slew of artists came out to perform ONE LAST SONG. So many familiar faces and good memories. This night I tried to refrain from shooting the show and just shoot the people. I know I didn’t get everyone (that’s what LizSquare is for) but that’s ok because we spent it together.

Every year for the past 6 years the Rare Form  family celebrates the life of  one Hip Hops most talented and influential music producers, James “J. Dilla” Yancey.  And for the past 3 years I’ve been lucky enough to document this awesome event (Photos: DAF4 & DAF5).

Donuts Are Forever has been held at a different venue each year. This year that venue was Brooklyn Bowl. I must say that at first I had reservations about the location. I wasn’t sure how they were going to make it work. There’s the bowling area and the restaurant area and I didn’t think it was big enough. I mean last year the venue had 2 floors!  And it SOLD OUT!  Well, this year they SOLD OUT again! And they pulled it off flawlessly!  People bowled, ate great food, took photos in the photo booth and most importantly…DANCED & CELEBRATED LIFE!

Thanks to Donwill and VonPea of Hip Hop group, Tanya Morgan, for being amazing hosts. And to some of NYCs best DJs, DJ Parler, DJ Tara, Brina Payne, Ill Digitz, Get Live, THE Prince Paul & Neil Armstrong who played ALL the best Hip Hop and of course Dilla and Dilla inspired music! It was an amazing night!
